Combining Sketch and Ink Elements for Page Layout

After sketching out the roughs in a moleskin, the images are uploaded and preliminary inks are done quickly to get a feel for layout. From there, page composition starts taking shape. This helps contrast shading and inks in mutiple panels on the same page. An image that stands alone well in a sketchbook might need to be tweaked when it's placed next to other panels on a page.

Thumbnail and Rough Pencils for Project

Working on layouts and panels in my Moleskin sketchbook. I actually prefer working on these small page sizes and I'm getting more pages done this way. From here, I do loose inks in CS4.
